At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Demonstrate mastery of critical philosophical skills to present accurately and to interpret the positions of 16^th to 18^th century philosophers, based on readings of their primary texts.
2. Critically analyze and evaluate arguments, assumptions, principles, and methods of 16^th through 18^th century philosophers.
