1. Melodic and Harmonic:
   1. Advanced chromaticism, including
      1. modulations to distantly-related keys
      2. mode mixture
      3. non-dominant 7^th chords
      4. Neapolitan and augmented 6^th chords
      5. extended and altered chords
      6. diatonic modes
      7. non-diatonic and synthetic scales: whole-tone, pentatonic, octatonic
   2. Post-tonal materials, including pitch sets, tone rows, and post-tonal melodies
2. Advanced rhythmic topics, including
   1. irregular beat divisions
   2. polyrhythms
   3. asymmetrical and mixed meters

Additional activities

• Perform and sight-read rhythmic exercises in two and three parts
• Perform single line rhythm and sight-singing exercises while conducting
• Detect errors in rhythm, pitch, and/or solfege
• Perform exercises in one or more parts (canons, duets, chorales, sing and play the piano, sing and clap rhythms, etc.)
